Just do it
This is something I've been meaning to post for a long time but I'm a 'bit' of a procrastinator. As a matter of fact this has a lot to do with that issue .I remember some time back some one was expounding this passage about Martha and Mary. I just remember this one priciple that I 'heard' . "It is more essential to deal with the important things in our life than with the urgent."
So often I get caught in this race to do all the things that 'need' to be done that i forget to do the things most important. To spell it out, to spend time sitting at Jesus' feet.
Be not hearers of the word but 'doers'.
(P.S. while searching for an image for this post i found this. Check out the website at the bottom of the pic)

I will follow you
I see your footprints
All over the land
I wanna follow
Your prints on this sand.
Maybe I’ll falter
If I just leave
The prints that my father
Has engraved for me.
I feel your presence
All over this land
Your moving radiance
Oh it’s so grand!
I see you coming
Down from the clouds
Come now O Jesus
Rescue me fast!
I wanna go home
Be one with you
Even if I’m alone
I’ll follow you
[BRIDGE]
I’m goin home with you
I will follow you
So come and take me now
Come and spread your love.

A good reminder of God's Love.
A good reminder of God's Love.
Every Sunday afternoon, after the morning service at the church, the Pastor & his eleven year old son would go out into their town & hand out Gospel Tracts.
This particular Sunday afternoon, as it came time for the Pastor & his son to go to the streets with their tracts, it was very cold outside, as well as pouring down rain. The boy bundled up in his warmest & driest clothes & said, 'OK, dad, I'm ready.' His Pastor & asked, 'Ready for what?'. 'Dad, it's time we gather our tracts together and go out.' Dad responds, 'Son, it's very cold outside & it's pouring down rain.' The boy gives his dad a surprised look, asking, 'But Dad, aren't people still going to Hell, even though it's raining?'. Dad answers, 'Son, I am not going out in this weather.' Despondently, the boy asks, 'Dad, can I go? Please?'. His father hesitated for a moment then said, 'Son, you can go. Here are the tracts, be careful son.' 'Thanks Dad!'
And with that, he was off & out into the rain. his eleven year old boy walked the streets of the town going door to door & handing everybody he met in the street a Gospel Tract. After two hours of walking in the rain, he was soaking, bone-chilled wet & down to his VERY LAST TRACT. He stopped on a corner & looked for someone to hand a tract to, but the streets were totally deserted. Then he turned toward the first home he saw & started up the sidewalk to the front door & rang the door bell. He rang the bell, but nobody answered. He rang it again & again, but still no one answered. He waited but still no answer. Finally, this eleven year old trooper turned to leave, but something stopped him. Again, he turned to the door & rang the bell & knocked loudly on the door with his fist. He waited, something holding him there on the front porch! He rang again & this time the door slowly opened.
Standing in the doorway was a very sad-looking elderly lady. She softly asked, 'What can I do for you, son?' With radiant eyes & a smile that lit up her world, this little boy said, 'Ma'am, I'm sorry if I disturbed you, but I just want to tell you that *JESUS REALLY DOES LOVE YOU* & I came to give you my very last Gospel Tract which will tell you all about JESUS & His great LOVE.'
With that, he handed her his last tract & turned to leave. She called to him as he departed. 'Thank you, son! And God Bless You!'
Well, the following Sunday morning in church Pastor Dad was in the pulpit. As the service began, he asked, 'Does anybody have any testimony or want to say anything?' Slowly, in the back row of the church, an elderly lady stood to her feet. As she began to speak, a look of glorious radiance came from her face, 'No one in this church knows me. I've never been here before. You see, before last Sunday I was not a Christian. My husband passed on some time ago, leaving me totally alone in this world. Last Sunday, being a particularly cold and rainy day, it was even more so in my heart that I came to the end of the line where I no longer had any hope or will to live. So I took a rope and a chair and ascended the stairway into the attic of my home. I fastened the rope securely to a rafter in the roof, then stood on the chair and fastened the other end of the rope around my neck.
Standing on that chair, so lonely and brokenhearted I was about to leap off, when suddenly the loud ringing of my doorbell downstairs startled me. I thought, 'I'll wait a minute, and whoever it is will go away.' I waited and waited, but the ringing doorbell seemed to get louder and more insistent, and then the person ringing also started knocking loudly. I thought to myself again, 'Who on earth could this be? Nobody ever rings my bell or comes to see me.' I loosened the rope from my neck and started for the front door, all the while the bell rang louder and louder.
When I opened the door and looked I could hardly believe my eyes, for there on my front porch was the most radiant and angelic little boy I had ever seen in my life. His SMILE, oh, I could never describe it to you! The words that came from his mouth caused my heart that had long been dead, TO LEAP TO LIFE as he exclaimed with a cherub-like voice, 'Ma'am, I just came to tell you that JESUS REALLY DOES LOVE YOU.' Then he gave me this Gospel Tract that I now hold in my hand.
As the little angel disappeared back out into the cold and rain, I closed my door and read slowly every word of this Gospel Tract. Then I went up to my attic to get my rope and chair. I wouldn't be needing them anymore. You see, I am now a Happy Child of the KING. Since the address of your church was on the back of this Gospel Tract, I have come here to personally say THANK YOU to God's little angel who came just in the nick of time and by so doing, spared my soul from an eternity in hell. There was not a dry eye in the church. And as shouts of praise and honor to THE KING resounded off the very rafters of the building, Pastor Dad descended from the pulpit to the front pew where the little angel was seated. He took his son in his arms and sobbed uncontrollably. Probably no church has had a more glorious moment, and probably this universe has never seen a Papa that was more filled with love & honor for his son... Except for One.
Our Father also allowed His Son to go out into a cold and dark world. He received His Son back with joy unspeakable, and as all of heaven shouted praises and honor to The King, the Father sat His beloved Son on a throne far above all principality and power and every name that is named.
Blessed are your eyes for reading this message.
Heaven is for His people! Remember, God's message CAN make the difference in the life of someone close to you.
Three things that are truly constant -
Father - Son - Holy Spirit
Three things in life that, once gone, never come back -
1. Time
2. Words
3. Opportunity
Three things in life that can destroy a person -
1. Anger
2. Pride
3. Un-forgiveness
Three things in life that you should never lose-
1. Hope
2. Peace
3. Honesty
Three things in life that are most valuable -
1. Love
2. Family & Friends
3. Kindness
Three things in life that are never certain -
1. Fortune
2. Success
3. Dreams
Three things that make a person -
1. Commitment
2. Sincerity
3. Hard work
I ask the Lord to bless you, as I pray for you today; to guide you and protect you, as you go along your way. God's love is always with you, God's promises are true. And when you give God all your cares, you know God will see you through.

New updates
we started the DTS with creation---though a familiar topic still one gets to learn more from it everytime you read it(atleast i get to learn)neway..Then the next session was regarding attributes of God --His faithfulness and unchanging love.We had a small activity/game --it was the very common chinese whispers.None of us could say the exact sentence said by the person who gave the sentence. We realised how we can't remember things said to us a few seconds ago .....but God is a never changing God...all knowing God..never forgets and His attributes go on and on and on.....
Last week we learning about the triune nature of God....God the Father,God the Son and the Holy Spirit. We had a really nice discussion on this topic with the young girls it was more of them thinking and understanding for themselves...which was really amazing.Though at times they were confused a bit by the end of the session they learnt a new thing for themself...which is realllly good!!!!!!!
Now its time to say in short about the outreach program that has started with the family suffering with HIV...Its been six consecutive saturdays that we have been able to go and teach this family from God's Word.We have seen that Hema(named changed)the lady who is a believer been interested in God's word...she has 2 kids also who sit and listen to what is been spoken.
Its going on quiet good so far...

what Nehemiah taught me
Nehemiah lived at a time when the Israelites had returned from exile. Nehemiah himself served at the King's palace in Persia. Then someone tells Nehemiah
about the situation back in Jerusalem- the city was not fortified ,as the city wall had not yet been rebuilt ; as a result the Jews were losing intermarrying with outsiders
and mixing in with foreign culture, and thus losing their identity.
What happens next is noteworthy -Nehemiah mourned , fasted and wept before the Lord . Nehemiah was cupbearer to the king , a very important position .So this really shows a part of what Nehemiah was on the inside - he was humble , and was concerned about the things that mattered to God.
Next, we read that Nehemiah manages to get the king's approval to go back to Jerusalem and start the rebuilding process. Ch 3-6 describes how the wall was completed. But it doesn't stop there; the people of Israel confess their sins before God and make a pledge to obey Him.
When you reflect on all of this, we see that building the wall was not "the thing" for Nehemiah; it was just a part of it. He had come to turn the hearts of his people back to God. Anyway what security can a wall provide if God is not with you!
God used Nehemiah mightily. These days’ companies hire the best of managers and specialists in order to get the best results. But that's not how God looks at people .God saw in Nehemiah a man who was dedicated to do His will, a humble man who was willing to stoop down from his high position to do such a thing as building a wall. And when God called him, nothing on earth could stop him.
There is an important lesson to learn from this: We need not possess great skills to do great things .God only expects that we serve Him faithfully in whatever we do- that's what God considers great.
This line of thought is so contrary to the world's set of ideas .But then this is what sets the Bible apart from other ideologies.
To sum it up, I would say that living for God's glory and responding to God's calling is the greatest thing you can achieve in life. Nehemiah could testify to this. Can we say the same about our lives too?

Starting something new
We have realized that we have had a lot of listening to the Word of God but there wasn’t much of application.
Jesus’ greatest commission in Matthew 28 :18-20 says we ought to make disciples of every nation, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
This was one thing which we lacked doing.
After a season of serious prayer and planning we decided to put this commission into action—to share the good news to the young and to the new believers. The youths will be splitting up onto groups of three.
We begin with a DTS—disciple training school with four young girls who are going to enter adulthood within a years time. We would share with them the Basic beliefs of Christian faith. This helps them to grow in a closer way with God.
Thus they will start attending the youth meets by next year. This will be conducted by Thomas and Sanjeev, Joash-- the assistants.
The other aim is to share with new believers. Here Santosh, Shirley and Anil will be taking a bible study at home were there are two brothers and a sister. This is the second group. The third group consists of Joshua, Juanita, Ryan, Reneta-they will be meeting with a HIV family who are being treated at JSK. We will be sharing with these two the message on how God cares for us. This gives us an opportunity to spiritually nourish them in knowing God better. And will help us to have an outreach program with these families.
Along with this we will continue meeting every Saturday at Andi-Sheba’s house for praying and encouraging each other.

Blood Diamond
We've started this new program of watchin movies together. this time we watched the movie blood diamond. A time where we watched and learned about the movie together.
This movie shows us how greed can make us so brutal. But on the contrary showed us the father heart of God, he's so forgiving so gracious and so merciful. The issue of selfishness and greed struck me the most. It's something that has plagued our country for very long. I am no exception to that, ive been stuck in my work, and i think that's the world I live in.
Doin something is the need of the hour, I dont know how but just sitting and cribbing about what all is happening about us will lead to no good. What is happening in africa will be a reality here soon. Emergence of jungle raj is happening quick and fast. we cant cross into each others territory just because we dont speak that language. We belong to one country.
The other thing is when someone is shamelessly abusing our land, spiting where they like, oppressing the poor, etc. where am I. Let's stop living with the policy"Live and Let live". Let it be "Live and don't let others die."

IMPORTANT
'some times in order to acomplish the urgent ,we forget the important'
True aint it. Getting caught up so much in day to day stuff (though theres always time for the tv some how) that we lose picture of the unending life to come.
I'm going through such a phase right now;when theres no time though theres plenty of time.
Reading from Acts 2 : 42
They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
Is our life like that of the early church???????
If yes read ahead from 43 on
If not start from the beginning of Acts

Who am I
We continually remember before our God and Father yourk work produced by faith, your labour prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Is what we do prompted by our love and faith?
Are we willing to endure ridicule??
